Housing and Homelessness

Housing is an important determinant of health. Substandard housing is a major public health issue, as the condition and nature of housing can impact on people’s health and wellbeing. Homelessness often results from a combination of events such as relationship breakdown, debt, adverse experiences in childhood, and through ill-health.
