People:

Life Expectancy

The term “life expectancy” refers to the number of years a person can expect to live. Life expectancy is based on an estimate of the average age that a population group will be when they die. Life expectancy indicators help to show the overall trends in major population health measures, setting context in which local authorities can assess and identify the drivers of life expectancy and healthy life expectancy. These are extremely important summary measures of mortality and morbidity.
