Disease Conditions and Health Care:

Mental Health

Mental health problems affect around one in four people in any given year. They range from common problems, such as depression and anxiety, to rarer and more severe disorders such as psychosis. People with mental health problems have significantly worse physical health and life outcomes than people without these conditions. This section includes information on severe mental illness, emotional and psychological mental health as well as dementia, suicide, self harm, social isolation and loneliness.
